In November of 2016 I was a guest on the now defunct Life in a Kilt podcast. 

Life in a Kilt was created and hosted by Rick Baldwin and Cheri. Rick has led an interesting life and is still an active artist. (buy his art) When he turned 50, he decided to wear a kilt everyday for a year. That led to Year in a Kilt then Life in a Kilt. 

The podcast was recorded on site at Mac McGee’s in Decatur GA just outside of Atlanta, where Rick lives. It is a great place for food and drink. One of the best places to go when in Atlanta.

Being on this episode started me thinking about starting my own. It is also recorded where I first met Rick, his wife and Cheri and was dubbed “Doug in a Pub”

Since then, Rick and Cheri have started a new podcast, This Epic Disaster. It can be found all over the internet.

We talk about life and kilts. The hosts, Rick and Cheri have started a new podcast called. This Epic Disaster. I never miss an episode, give it a listen. 

A review of one of my all time favorite bars, The Brick Store Pub. Here is a link to a review I posted on my blog. I finish up with a story of how changing a tire changed my life. Episode three will include two conversations with my partner Brett. We will talk about want vs need and BrewDog. “It’s August and time for a new listener challenge! Grab your handy Bartender Book of Rules because in this challenge you will be creating a special cocktail inspired by the Life In A Kilt Podcast.

The ingredients are all up to you, just make sure it’s delicious and Life In A Kilt Podcast inspired! And of course your drink’s unique name should let everyone know where you got your inspiration. As a reward, you’ll receive a free Life In A Kilt Podcast cocktail glass and your recipe will get it’s own special spot on “Doug In A Pub,” the premier online destination for cocktail lovers.

The rules are simple: Send in a cocktail recipe you design, inspired by the Life In A Kilt Podcast. The drink can be as simple or as complicated as you wish. Cocktails may be alcoholic or non-alcoholic. All drink recipes will be listed on the Life In A Kilt Podcast social media sites. At the end of the month, expert mixologist Doug In A Pub will choose three top winners based upon Facebook likes as well as potential for deliciousness.
